United Ireland in Irish

Decolonial Eire Map.png

The island of Éire (Ireland) in Gaeilge (the Irish language). Unfortunately, this vision of reunification, language revitalization, and decolonisation in Éire is becoming increasingly distant as fewer and fewer people speak Gaeilge, and the future of the 499 km Teorainn na hÉireann (Irish border) remains uncertain in the wake of Breatimeacht (Brexit).

Map by Jordan Engel. Thanks to John O’Brien for providing materials on Gaeilge place names. The United Ireland in Irish map can be reused under the Decolonial Media License 0.1.
