Candidate Joe Biden committed to stop deportations if he became president. One month in to his administration, and 26,248 immigrants have been deported under his watch. The president has the power to stop this. He can, for instance, end Title 42, Trump’s illegal policy of using COVID-19 as an excuse to deny asylum-seekers due process.
